Jason Triail

Vice President of Culinary and Innovation

Biography

Jason Triail is Cadence Kitchen’s Vice President of Culinary and Innovations—he’s the master of all things tasty in our Southern California kitchen. With more than 35 years of experience, Triail draws on a diverse culinary background to craft inventive and flavorful Cadence Kitchen dishes that rival restaurant meals.

Jason has immersed himself in Cadence Kitchen’s nitrogen flash-freezing process as a means of offering the best quality food for a more sustainable way to dine out at home. He’s excited to create recipes and meals with clean ingredients which are then suspended in time to provide the highest quality of products. Jason is constantly innovating ways to use the technology to his advantage in developing recipes that never sacrifice on quality, flavor, or texture. He’s dedicated to making food fun and empowering people to reclaim their kitchen experience.

Originally hailing from Long Island, NY, Jason began working in the food industry at the age of 12, stocking shelves and washing dishes at a local Italian market. He spent his teenage years working his way toward creating meals for nearby restaurants and catering halls before becoming an executive sous chef at 19, then an executive chef the next year. Five years later, Jason relocated to the west coast, where he’s served as one of the executive chefs at Yard House, leading culinary training for all of the nationwide restaurant’s locations. Before joining Cadence Kitchen, Jason worked at the meal-kit company Chef’d as Chief Culinary Officer.

Jason has been awarded Best Taste 2007 of Huntington Beach and has also been featured by Space Magazine and Great Taste Magazine. Without formal culinary school experience, Jason attests that hard work, dedication, passion, and inspiration is what ultimately led him to become Vice President of Culinary and Innovations at Cadence Kitchen.

Jason is passionate about people and making investments in others’ lives, and he’s excited to be working alongside the team at Cadence Kitchen to create superior frozen food products. He finds inspiration from cooking shows (his favorite is Top Chef), magazines, books, and the internet. Jason loves spending time with his family, visiting farmer’s markets, listening to music, drinking crafted cocktails, and cooking together. He loves to travel and explore new restaurants and cultures with his family at his side.
